The 1 2 3 Challenge!

December 10, 2014

Hello Doodle Alley friends– I am taking the next two months to do an exciting project which I am calling the 1 2 3 Challenge– 1 hundred pages of comics drawn in 2 months to win 30,000 dollars! I started a video blog to record the process, and I’m looking forward to discussing everything I learn on the project, as well as getting to know you guys better.

So, what can you do to help? PLEASE subscribe to my YouTube Channel. Also, I’d be very appreciative if you went over to Webtoons and rated my comic submission: SPACE BOY. Space Boy is about a girl who belongs in a different time, a boy possessed by an emptiness as deep as space– it’s a story about an alien artifact, a mysterious murder, and a love that crosses light years.

Click here to read the prologue. Take a look!

Leave a comment below if you want to suggest anything for the webshow! Thanks!

Congratulations!!!!!!!!! I am so happy you won. You deserved it. All your hard work paid off. The comic itself is gorgeous and makes me think of Scott McCloud’s theory about how webcomics can be much more than regular comics. The effects you achieved with the scrolling, the pacing, and everything was very inspiring. I’ll be looking forward to reading more of the story. Thank you for sharing your work.

Wow. I didn’t realise you won. I recently found your blog and webtoon and I love it so much, the art is amazing. I’ve recently started drawing, after not touching a pencil in over 20 years, and I love it. You’re blog has inspired me to keep it up and get better, as one day I’d love to turn the novel im writing into a webtoon. So I just wanted to say thank you and I know it’s late, but well done!
